Why do we need negative numbers??

So we understand that it is a loss of yardage when the Patriot's QB gets sacked behind the line of scrimmage!!! OUCH!  If you missed last nights Super bowl, for the record it was the most awesome one since I've been old enough to watch! We might actually be able to say the game was better than the commercials this year!

Ok now for school......
6th: We actually answered the headline question in today's class. We talked about integers and how they might be used in real life. Students should complete the evens on the Integer Basics worksheet for HW.
7th: Today in class we used a formula to figure out if a number truly is an outlier, then applied that knowledge by making a box and whisker plot for each of the ACC women's basketball teams. Quiz on B& W plots tomorrow. HW practice worksheet.
8th-2nd Block: Today we covered rotations and talked about how MC Escher uses transformations in his art. Students should complete the rotations worksheet for HW and check out www.mcescher.com for fun!
8th-4th Block: Today we took a pop-quiz on the rules of transformations. Students need to STUDY!!!!!! Test Thursday!
