Just to let everyone know who doesn't already know. The Womanless Beauty Pageant being held tomorrow evening at London Elementary school is a fundraiser for our 8th grade AG students who are going to NYC this June. If you haven't gotten your tickets yet, you can still buy tickets at the door! It is definitely a site that you don't want to miss!!
6th: Today in class we covered solving one step equations. Students have the evens from 20 problems they copied in class for HW. They are encouraged to do the odds as well if they need practice.
7th: Today we talked about the second application of percent that we will cover in 7th grade - percent of change. Many students do not have the business knowledge yet to understand why it is important to be able calculate things like the percent of profit or losses a company has, or the percent of change in enrollment from one year to the next, if you can shed some insight on these topics for your child please talk to them about why percents are important in your life. HW -8.4 Word Problems (many students finished this in class)
