Can you guys believe how this year is flying?!?!? Next week it will be MARCH! My gracious!
Today---
6th: Today we discussed how to solve two-step equations by working backwards. Students should complete the problems copied from the board for HW. There will be a solving equations quiz on Wednesday.
7th: Today in class we covered yet another application of percentages, tipping! Please encourage your child to calculate the tip the next time you go out to eat together. Students have a HW sheet on sales tax, discounts, markup, and tipping.
8th - 2nd block: Today in class we passed back and reviewed the quiz that was taken on Friday. Many students simply made careless mistakes or still need to study their 2D formulas! Students are encouraged to look back over the Pretest from last week tonight for HW. At this point they should be able to do everything on the pretest. I will answer any questions that students still have from the pretest and we will begin 3D figures tomorrow.
8th - 4th Block: Today in class we passed back and reviewed the quiz that was taken on Friday. Many students still need to study their 2D formulas!!!! Without these formulas you will simply be lost in the rest of our study of geometry! STUDY!!! We went on with a discussion of complex figures and students should complete the evens from practice skills 11.7 for HW.
