The end of the beginning!

I had a student today tell me that they felt like "the beginning of school is over now". I thought about it for a second and, wow, it really is. The mid way point through the 1st quarter is approaching quickly, and truly folks, the beginning of the year is gone! Time flies when you're having fun!
6th: We began discussing Multiplying and Dividing Decimals today in class. Students should complete p B-40 for homework. We will continue with dividing tomorrow and have a test on Decimals Tuesday.
7th: Today we did a great collaborative learning activity with scale and the map of North Carolina. While investigating the map, your students learned about places in North Carolina that some of them had never heard of. They also learned how to use the scale on a map to find actual distance and about the chart on most maps that gives you distances between major cities. They did a great job of working in teams and switched roles with ease.
8th-Both: Both 8th grade classes reviewed today for tomorrow's TEST!! Study Hard :)
